Monocular Visual Teach and Repeat accepted at the 2015 Field and Service Robotics Conference

Lee Clement's work on a Visual Teach and Repeat (VT&R) pipeline for mobile robots will be presented at the FSR conference in Toronto. In his paper, Lee shows how a single monocular camera (along with a local ground planarity assumption) is enough for a rover to learn and then autonomously repeat kilometer long routes with incredible accuracy. The pipeline shows nearly identical performance to its stereo precursor, but requires a much simpler and more commonly available sensor. Congratulations Lee!
